Here at Labor Bros, we've hauled away an incredible amount of junk since we opened our doors. Whether it's the hundreds of unsightly, heavy mattresses or old, unusable TVs, our crew has hauled some serious junk over the years. For each truckload of junk that we remove from a home or business, we work hard to donate applicable items and recycle others, to give back to the community and keep it clean.
When it comes to junk removal in Canal Point, FL, here are some of the most common items we remove:
Even the best mattresses will need to be replaced with enough time. Over the years, your mattress will begin to break down, causing you more pain than pleasure when your head hits the pillow. When your quality of sleep is affected, so too is your day-to-day life and wellbeing. To make matters worse, your old mattress is a haven for dead skin cells, hair, and even bugs. When it gets to this point, it's time to get rid of your mattress. Unfortunately, that can be easier said than done, especially if you're working 40 hours a week and must balance a family too. Luckily, the Labor Bros can remove your old mattress quicker than it takes you to snooze on a Sunday afternoon.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Mattress parts like steel springs, wooden frames, and coils can often be donated or recycled. Our team is happy to handle this part of the junk removal process, so you don't have to!
If you plan on upgrading your kitchen, chances are you will need to update your old fridge too. Refrigerators are notorious for being big, clunky, hazardous appliances to remove. Most folks don't want to deal with the lengthy process of removing the appliance and disposing of it safely. That's where the Labor Bros come in! Whether you have a regular-sized fridge at your home or several large chest freezers at your business, the Labor Bros are here to haul them away today.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Remember, many refrigerators and freezers have harmful chemicals that need to be disposed of properly. The Labor Bros always take these hazards into account, so you don't risk your health. Once these materials have been dealt with, our junk removal experts will either donate your unwanted fridge or haul it to the appropriate recycling facility.
With new technology and features debuting every other day, it's no surprise that we haul away old TVs every day. Whether you're moving to a new home or just want a new TV, we can remove your old flat screen quickly and safely. Our customers choose the Labor Bros for their TV removal not just because we're fast and effective, but because many modern TVs contain hazardous materials. Once our team removes your old TV from your home or business, we'll make sure your TV is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner.

Conditions in Palm Beach are expected to worsen throughout Wednesday as severe weather from Hurricane Milton moves into the area.
As of the 1 p.m. National Weather Service forecast, Milton was located 160 miles southwest of Tampa, traveling northeast at 17 mph with sustained winds of 145 mph. Milton is forecast to pick up speed and make a turn toward the east-northeast and east on Thursday and Friday.
Palm Beach and Palm Beach County remained under a tropical storm warning Wednesday afternoon, meaning tropical storm conditions including heavy rain and sustained winds between 58 and 73 mph are possible today. Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast later Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch Wednesday morning, in effect through 9 p.m. Thursday, for a broad swath of South and Central Florida that includes Palm Beach County. This means the conditions are right for a tornado to occur.
Five tornadoes were visually confirmed as of noon Wednesday in South Florida, according to the NWS.
They include two twisters near the Miccosukee Service Plaza along Alligator Alley, and one each in Clewiston, Lakeport and Canal Point. One possible tornado was reported in Florida City and Homestead, and there was an unconfirmed report near Belle Glade.
Police Chief Nicholas Caristo declared a state of emergency within the town early Wednesday afternoon.
The declaration he signed noted that "there is a risk of dangerous storm surge, heavy rainfall, flash flooding, strong winds, hazardous seas, beach erosion, and the potential for isolated tornadic activity for Palm Beach County."
The emergency order remains in effect until ended by Caristo, the document said.
Palm Beach can expect to experience tropical storm-force winds Wednesday night, but they could arrive as early as Wednesday afternoon throughout South Florida, according to the National Weather Service. Hurricane-force winds extend up to 35 miles from Milton's center, and tropical storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles, forecasters said in the 11 a.m. Wednesday update.
A flood watch for Palm Beach County that had been in effect through Thursday morning was canceled Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
Periods of heavy rain are expected across South Florida and some flooding may occur, forecasters said. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain could fall through Thursday morning.
As Hurricane Milton's bands move across Florida, there is the potential for several tornadoes to form, the National Weather Service said. People should listen for tornado warnings and be ready to find shelter quickly.
As of the 8 a.m. Wednesday update from the National Weather Service, Milton is forecast to make landfall in west central Florida.
Palm Beach said in a Tuesday news release that these facilities will close at noon Wednesday and reopen Friday:
The Al Fresco restaurant will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, the town said.
The Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to postpone Wednesday's scheduled Development Review Committee meeting at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 15.
All construction on the island was halted at noon.
Many businesses and organizations have chosen to close Wednesday and Thursday. Click here for a list.
Classes for Wednesday and Thursday were canceled at the two schools in Palm Beach.
The School District of Palm Beach County closed all of its schools, including Palm Beach Public Elementary School on Cocoanut Row. A decision on whether to reopen schools Friday will be made later Thursday, Superintendent Michael Burke said in a Tuesday evening phone call to parents.
Palm Beach Day Academy on Seaview Avenue also is closed Wednesday and Thursday, the school announced on its website.
Preparations for Milton should be made sooner rather than later, Town Manager Kirk Blouin said. "Should the storm speed up, slow down, change direction, those are the things that are unpredictable," he said.
The town's Public Works crews were preparing for the storm, department director Paul Brazil told the council. All storm stations were ready, emergency power was functional and crews were working long hours Tuesday to pick up any landscaping debris that might still be on the side of the road, he added.
"If there's anything out, our goal is to get it," Brazil said. "We're going to cover as much territory as we can."
Yard waste collection should be completed by Wednesday afternoon, and recycling and residential garbage pickup will be suspended on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, the town said. Full service will begin again Friday.
Palm Beach will send notifications about town services based on Milton's forecast track, the town said. To sign up for alerts, go to townofpalmbeach.com and click on the "Stay Connected" button under "Resident Services."
Throughout Palm Beach, the signs of storm preparation could be seen as some businesses and organizations closed early Tuesday and planned to remain closed Wednesday and Thursday.
At La Goulue restaurant at the intersection of Royal Palm Way and South County Road, hurricane shutters covered the windows Tuesday morning. The restaurant was open for its regular hours Tuesday, but planned to close Wednesday and Thursday, said lead host Ashley Rosario.
"As of right now, we do expect to be open on Friday," she said.
Along Worth Avenue, sandbags could be spotted in front of some stores. A sign on the window of Mary Mahoney at 336 Worth Ave. said, "In hurricane preparation. Please visit our website and email for inquiries, shop@marymahoney.com. Stay safe!"
Palm Beach County issued an evacuation order Tuesday for Zone A, which includes manufactured homes, trailers and mostly inland areas that are prone to flooding. The town of Palm Beach is in Zone B.
The county will open five shelters, a pet-friendly shelter and a special needs shelter at noon Wednesday. The five general population shelters are:
The pet-friendly shelter is at West Boynton Recreation Center, 6000 Northtree Blvd., Lake Worth, and the special needs shelter, the location of which the county has not disclosed, will begin receiving pre-registered people at 10 a.m. Wednesday. To register, go to pbcgov.org.

Correa said the strongest winds in our viewing area — especially in Indian River and Okeechobee counties — will likely be between 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. Thursday. Then as we get closer to 10 a.m. and noon, Milton's center will start to exit and the winds won't be as breezy.

Drier air will eventually move into South Florida starting on Friday, Correa said.
