For each truckload of junk that we remove from a home or business, we work hard to donate applicable items and recycle others, to give back to the community and keep it clean.
When it comes to junk removal in West Palm Beach, FL, here are some of the most common items we remove:
Even the best mattresses will need to be replaced with enough time. Over the years, your mattress will begin to break down, causing you more pain than pleasure when your head hits the pillow. When your quality of sleep is affected, so too is your day-to-day life and wellbeing. To make matters worse, your old mattress is a haven for dead skin cells, hair, and even bugs. When it gets to this point, it's time to get rid of your mattress. Unfortunately, that can be easier said than done, especially if you're working 40 hours a week and must balance a family too. Luckily, the Labor Bros can remove your old mattress quicker than it takes you to snooze on a Sunday afternoon.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Mattress parts like steel springs, wooden frames, and coils can often be donated or recycled. Our team is happy to handle this part of the junk removal process, so you don't have to!
If you plan on upgrading your kitchen, chances are you will need to update your old fridge too. Refrigerators are notorious for being big, clunky, hazardous appliances to remove. Most folks don't want to deal with the lengthy process of removing the appliance and disposing of it safely. That's where the Labor Bros come in! Whether you have a regular-sized fridge at your home or several large chest freezers at your business, the Labor Bros are here to haul them away today.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Remember, many refrigerators and freezers have harmful chemicals that need to be disposed of properly. The Labor Bros always take these hazards into account, so you don't risk your health. Once these materials have been dealt with, our junk removal experts will either donate your unwanted fridge or haul it to the appropriate recycling facility.
With new technology and features debuting every other day, it's no surprise that we haul away old TVs every day. Whether you're moving to a new home or just want a new TV, we can remove your old flat screen quickly and safely. Our customers choose the Labor Bros for their TV removal not just because we're fast and effective, but because many modern TVs contain hazardous materials. Once our team removes your old TV from your home or business, we'll make sure your TV is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner.
In addition to our junk removal services, Labor Bros also offers the highest quality general labor services in South Carolina. In today's fast-paced world, many home and business owners don't have the time or staff to handle labor-intensive jobs like garage cleanouts and yard debris removal. We save you time, money, and the possibility of injuring yourself or your friends.
If you own a home, you probably know how frustrating it can be to keep up with odd jobs around the house. And that, in a nutshell, is why we founded Labor Bros - to give good people like you the chance to keep their homes looking great, inside and out. When you want it done right, it's time to call the Labor Bros. Our team will not only remove the junk from your garage - we'll clean your garage afterward, so it looks and feels like it was brand new.
Cleaning up your yard debris can be a real pain in the butt. You need the right clothes to protect your legs and arms, gloves for your hands, possibly a back brace, and a lot of patience. After you're done, you're bound to need a shower and a long break. With all that in mind, it's no wonder why so many South Carolina residents call the Labor Bros for yard debris removal! WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Houston Astros top prospect Cam Smith will play right field in a Grapefruit League game soon, manager Joe Espada said Tuesday, an indication the club could seriously consider carrying the 22-year-old on its major-league roster.
Smith, acquired by Houston in the Kyle Tucker trade, has played primarily third base since his freshman year at Florida State. His outfield experience in that span consists of three games in left field in the Cape Cod League in 2023, per Baseball Reference.
“Honestly, it’s fun,” Smith said Tuesday. “Learning something new is always fun, and I think this is a whole other opportunity opening a whole new door for me.”
Early in camp, Espada said Smith could get practice reps in right field this spring but would likely not play in a game there, with the Astros focusing on his development at third base. Smith’s torrid spring and Houston’s unsettled outfield have altered those plans.
“I think competition creates opportunities and he’s taken advantage of the opportunities and things have changed,” Espada said Tuesday.
That Smith, the 14th overall pick in last year’s draft, might bid for a roster spot seemed far-fetched a month ago. Smith is in his first professional spring training. He has played 32 minor-league games and taken 134 plate appearances, just 20 of those above High-A.
But Smith has evidently met, or exceeded, the Astros’ expectations for him this spring. He is 9-for-17 in eight Grapefruit League games with five walks and three strikeouts. Reviews of his attitude and approach in major-league camp have been widely positive.
Smith has taken practice reps in right field for “the past few days,” he said, so “had an idea they were going to give me a chance to go out there for a game and see some live reads off the bat.” Reading angles off the bat and the wind are adjustments, he said.
Espada said Tuesday morning that Smith’s first game action in right field would happen “fast.” Smith later said he was scheduled to play five innings of defense in right field in a minor-league game Tuesday afternoon.
“In drills he’s looked good,” Espada said. “The big test will be once we put him out in a game and get him around the elements and get baserunners running around the bases and now he’s got to make decisions. So we’ll see how that goes.”
Smith has worked mostly at third base in camp. But the Astros plan to play Isaac Paredes there and are optimistic first baseman Christian Walker’s oblique injury is not serious, a scenario that might have shifted Paredes to first base and opened a spot at third.
If the infield is set, the only place Smith might see regular playing time right away in the majors is in right field, where the Astros must replace Tucker. Chas McCormick, Ben Gamel and Zach Dezenzo are other options there, but none has overwhelmed so far in spring games, opening the door further for Smith to get a look.
Last month, Astros owner Jim Crane said in an appearance on the team’s TV broadcast that he hoped the coaching staff would try Smith in right field and he “could make the ballclub this year at some point.”
Asked Sunday if Smith has a legitimate chance to crack the opening day roster, general manager Dana Brown said “there’s still a long way to go” but did not explicitly rule out the possibility.
“Let’s just put it this way: He’s impressing us and he’s been very impressive,” Brown said. “So, we’re giving him a close look. It’s not easy to come into camp and be a rookie and make the team, but he’s making us at least have conversations.”
They will lead to Smith exploring a new defensive position this spring, albeit one Brown said he might learn as soon as the Astros acquired Smith in December. Even if Smith opens this season in the minors, proving adept in right field might help accelerate his eventual path to Houston.
“I’m going to try to do anything I can to be in that position,” Smith said when asked if he thinks it could help him make the major-league roster. “But I really can’t control that.”

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — It's never wise to put too much stock in Grapefruit League statistics. Diehard Houston Astros fans will remember Justin Dirden turning heads in spring training in 2023, narrowly missing out on making the opening day roster. He never got the call to the big leagues and two years later, he’s completely out of baseball.
Last year’s camp was all about Joey Loperfido. He also made a strong push in Florida only to not make the team, although he did debut a month later, only to get packaged in a deal with the Toronto Blue Jays for Yusei Kikuchi.
Now, it’s Cam Smith’s turn. The 22-year-old, who was the centerpiece in the Kyle Tucker trade, wasn’t thought of as a real option for the opening day roster at the start of camp, but he’s been smashing baseballs in every Grapefruit League park and has forced the Astros brass to have conversations about the possibility of their "aircraft carrier" opening the season with them in Houston.
In fact, Astros manager Joe Espada said Tuesday morning that Smith, who was primarily a third baseman at Florida State and has played nowhere else in the minors, will soon see some time in right field in a Grapefruit League game. Two weeks out from opening day, right field is one of the Astros' big question marks, which shows the team is seriously considering Smith for the vacancy.
Here’s a look at Smith and others who are making a strong impression at spring training…
We just said that Grapefruit League statistics can be misleading, but seriously, Smith’s numbers are obscene. He’s 9-for-17 (.529) with two home runs, a triple and seven RBIs. That’s good enough for a 1.636 OPS. The most encouraging thing about watching Smith is the quality at-bats he provides. He’s not a young kid swinging from his heels, he’s selective, as evidenced by his five walks in 22 plate appearances. Smith, who was a first-round pick just eight months ago, only has 115 minor league at-bats with only 19 of those coming above Single-A. Ideally, the Astros would like to start him at Double-A Corpus Christi or Triple-A Sugar Land and let him prove himself there, but the 22-year-old is making it tough on them.
For all the talk about Cam Smith, Jeremy Peña's spring is flying under the radar, despite putting up similar numbers. After getting another hit Tuesday, Peña is now 9-for-18 (.500) with two homers and four RBIs. Last season, only seven qualified hitters swung at a higher percentage of pitches outside the strike zone than Peña, according to Baseball Savant. The 27-year-old came to camp prepared to fix that and has gotten good results so far.
The Astros love Meyers' glove in center field, but he hasn’t produced at the plate. Last season, he posted an 85 OPS-plus, 15% below the MLB average. He’ll need to do better in 2025, and he’s looked impressive this spring. So far, he’s gone 6-for-20 (.300) with a pair of home runs.
Stop us if you’ve heard this before: This could be Forrest Whitley’s time. The former No. 1 pitching prospect in baseball transitioned from his role as starter and into the bullpen last season, seven years after being drafted in the first round out of San Antonio’s Alamo Heights High School. He made his big-league debut last season with three appearances in the majors, but he’s making a case to stick this time. He’s made four relief appearances this spring, allowing just one run over five innings. He also pitched two innings out of the bullpen over the weekend, something Espada said he’s looking for out of Whitley.
The Astros have a lot of lefties in camp vying for a spot in the bullpen, but the 33-year-old Okert has stood out. The Astros brought Okert in as a non-roster invitee, but he may be here to stay. He’s made five appearances, including striking out the side Tuesday against the Mets. That was his sixth scoreless inning without allowing a hit. He’s struck out seven and walked one. Okert has plenty of experience, pitching in parts of seven big-league seasons with the Giants, Marlins and Twins, but he posted a 5.09 ERA in 44 appearances with Minnesota last season.

USA TODAY NETWORK - Florida
When is launch day for NASA's SpaceX Crew-10 astronauts? After an initial launch attempt that ended in a scrub minutes before liftoff, Crew-10 will try again on Pi Day.
A hydraulic ground issue at launch pad 39A sparked a scrub of Crew-10's Falcon 9, which was scheduled to lift off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center at 7:48 p.m. EDT Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Officials announced another try for 7:03 p.m. EDT Friday, March 14, 2025. March 14 is known as "Pi Day" because it's 3/14 or 3-14 or 3.14 aka the shortened version of the mathematical figure "Pi."
On Friday, March 14, crew members will take seats aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule for their journey to the International Space Station, which will set up the return to Earth of Crew-9 — including Boeing Starliner astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams.
After soaring skyward along a northeasterly trajectory, the Falcon 9 first-stage booster will trigger sonic booms in the Space Coast, Florida, area by returning for a landing 7 minutes, 39 seconds after liftoff at nearby Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Cape Canaveral is an hour east of the Orlando theme parks. Depending on cloud cover, weather and visibility, people from Orlando, Daytona Beach to Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach to Lake Worth Beach might see a nice streak in the sky — given the proximity to NASA's Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The Space Coast of Florida includes 72 miles of coast, from Mims and Titusville to Melbourne and Grant-Valkaria.
If you're not near Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral or surrounding areas from Florida's Space Coast, you can still see the NASA and SpaceX rocket launch liftoff − virtually (see below). USA TODAY Network Space Team launch coverage will include NASA, SpaceX Crew-10 updates, starting two hours before liftoff.
In Florida, we can best see this historic moment in person if you're anywhere on the Space Coast (Brevard County) or certain spots in the First Coast or Fun Coast (Volusia County) or the Treasure Coast (Indian River County, St. Lucie County and Martin County). Pro tip: If you do watch it in person, get to your viewing destination early and prepare to stay later after the launch because of heavy traffic.
Can a rocket launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center or Cape Canaveral, Florida, be seen outside of Florida? Weather permitting and depending on cloud cover, yes. For example, readers have submitted photos or posted on social platforms pictures of Falcon Heavy, which is made up of three Falcon 9 rocket first stages, visible from Myrtle Beach.
NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were on board Boeing Starliner on June 5, 2024, when the rocket lauched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were sent to the International Space Station for what was supposed to be a monthlong mission. With the launch of NASA, SpaceX Crew-10, this sets in motion a return for Crew-9 (Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore).
Shown is the National Weather Service-Melbourne radar, which shows conditions in real-time for the Space Coast, Brevard County, Orlando and other parts of Florida. The current date and time show up on the bottom right of this radar embed; otherwise, you may need to clear your cache.
Weather permitting and depending on cloud cover, yes, some rocket launches from the Space Coast can be visible in Palm Beach County. When there’s a launch window in the middle of the night or very early morning, with a southeast trajectory, there’s an opportunity for unique photos. Some examples include United Launch Alliance's Delta IV Heavy rocket launch and SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
From Cape Canaveral, Florida, to West Palm Beach, Florida, it's about 150 miles.
Rocket launches from Cape Canaveral can often be seen from Palm Beach County, and it can be as easy as walking out of your house and looking north. Try to get away from any obstructions, such as trees, tall buildings, and bright lights. Obviously, cloud cover can also get in the way.
If the forecast is for clear skies and you want a better view, some good places to watch the rocket launch from Palm Beach County include:

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach home transformed into a drug den was raided by a SWAT team, revealing a substantial amount of drugs and children in hazardous conditions—all linked to a 21-time convicted felon.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) said that on Thursday deputies executed a search warrant on a West Palm Beach home and detained several people.
According to the probable cause affidavit, just before the SWAT team arrived, a Subaru pulled up, and the driver, identified as Ricky Fields, fled into an alleyway leading to the home. Deputies apprehended Fields and searched his backpack, uncovering two bags of marijuana weighing approximately five grams and $105 in cash.
Upon entering the home, the SWAT team reported finding multiple children at the property, which raised significant concerns.
Furthermore, PBSO said that every room in the five-bedroom home was found to contain drugs and drug packaging. Open marijuana use was noted even in the children's room.
The report states that deputies observed that the home lacked furniture and had minimal clothing, leading them to believe that Fields, 59, was using the property primarily for drug storage.

In Fields' bedroom, deputies reported finding a substantial amount of suspected stolen goods, extensive drug packaging (both new and used), and six drug scales.
In total, authorities seized near 8.5 pounds of marijuana, 35 packs of edibles, 75 grams of cut cocaine, nine miniature bags of cut cocaine, 169 grams of crack cocaine, 85 grams of Acetaminophen-Oxycodone pills, and 29 grams of Buprenorphine.
Additionally, law enforcement recovered a revolver, a handgun, and two magazines at the scene. Given that Fields is a 21-time convicted felon with a history of four years of incarceration, he is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
Fields has been accused of three counts of producing drugs in a structure with minors present, trafficking cocaine, trafficking oxycodone, two counts of weapon possession by a convicted felon, two counts of drug possession without a prescription, drug possession and or use, and selling a schedule I substance.
