Here at Labor Bros, we've hauled away an incredible amount of junk since we opened our doors. Whether it's the hundreds of unsightly, heavy mattresses or old, unusable TVs, our crew has hauled some serious junk over the years. For each truckload of junk that we remove from a home or business, we work hard to donate applicable items and recycle others, to give back to the community and keep it clean.
When it comes to junk removal in West Palm Beach, FL, here are some of the most common items we remove:
Even the best mattresses will need to be replaced with enough time. Over the years, your mattress will begin to break down, causing you more pain than pleasure when your head hits the pillow. When your quality of sleep is affected, so too is your day-to-day life and wellbeing. To make matters worse, your old mattress is a haven for dead skin cells, hair, and even bugs. When it gets to this point, it's time to get rid of your mattress. Unfortunately, that can be easier said than done, especially if you're working 40 hours a week and must balance a family too. Luckily, the Labor Bros can remove your old mattress quicker than it takes you to snooze on a Sunday afternoon.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Mattress parts like steel springs, wooden frames, and coils can often be donated or recycled. Our team is happy to handle this part of the junk removal process, so you don't have to!
If you plan on upgrading your kitchen, chances are you will need to update your old fridge too. Refrigerators are notorious for being big, clunky, hazardous appliances to remove. Most folks don't want to deal with the lengthy process of removing the appliance and disposing of it safely. That's where the Labor Bros come in! Whether you have a regular-sized fridge at your home or several large chest freezers at your business, the Labor Bros are here to haul them away today.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Remember, many refrigerators and freezers have harmful chemicals that need to be disposed of properly. The Labor Bros always take these hazards into account, so you don't risk your health. Once these materials have been dealt with, our junk removal experts will either donate your unwanted fridge or haul it to the appropriate recycling facility.
With new technology and features debuting every other day, it's no surprise that we haul away old TVs every day. Whether you're moving to a new home or just want a new TV, we can remove your old flat screen quickly and safely. Our customers choose the Labor Bros for their TV removal not just because we're fast and effective, but because many modern TVs contain hazardous materials. Once our team removes your old TV from your home or business, we'll make sure your TV is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner.
In addition to our junk removal services, Labor Bros also offers the highest quality general labor services in South Carolina. In today's fast-paced world, many home and business owners don't have the time or staff to handle labor-intensive jobs like garage cleanouts and yard debris removal. There's no need to call in a favor with your best friend or father-in-law. Contact the Labor Bros for fast, efficient service for any of your general labor projects. We save you time, money, and the possibility of injuring yourself or your friends.
If you own a home, you probably know how frustrating it can be to keep up with odd jobs around the house. Sometimes, you need a little more than a helping hand - you need a team of experienced professionals to get the job done right. And that, in a nutshell, is why we founded Labor Bros - to give good people like you the chance to keep their homes looking great, inside and out. Here are just a few of the most common general labor jobs we complete for homeowners in South Carolina:
If you're anything like us, your garage space doubles as a storage unit. Over time, the items you store in your garage can pile up. Often, these items go unused for years, essentially becoming junk right before your eyes. At some point, you will need all that junk and debris cleaned out. When you want it done right, it's time to call the Labor Bros. Our team will not only remove the junk from your garage - we'll clean your garage afterward, so it looks and feels like it was brand new.
Cleaning up your yard debris can be a real pain in the butt. You need the right clothes to protect your legs and arms, gloves for your hands, possibly a back brace, and a lot of patience. After you're done, you're bound to need a shower and a long break. With all that in mind, it's no wonder why so many South Carolina residents call the Labor Bros for yard debris removal! Our general labor techs have cleaned up dozens if not hundreds of yards, and they can help you too. We make yard debris cleanup easy by taking everything: limbs, leaves, grass clippings, wood chips, and more. Simply click or call, and we'll haul it all!

The Houston Astros offered contracts to their eight arbitration-eligible players — including outfielders Jake Meyers and Chas McCormick — before Friday’s deadline.
Right fielder Kyle Tucker, starter Framber Valdez, shortstop Jeremy Peña, utility player Mauricio Dubón and pitchers Bryan Abreu and Luis Garcia form the rest of the Astros’ arbitration-eligible group.
Teams needed to present contracts to arbitration-eligible and pre-arbitration eligible players by Friday evening or allow them to become free agents. Houston’s 40-man roster remains at 39 players.
Houston’s decisions with its arbitration-eligible group appeared set after general manager Dana Brown said at this month’s GM meetings both McCormick and Meyers would receive contracts for 2025.
Brown said the Astros want to give McCormick, who struggled in 2024, “the opportunity to turn the corner.” Brown sounded less bullish on Meyers, the team’s primary center fielder this season, but indicated Meyers could still factor into outfield plans next year. Houston is interested in adding a left-handed hitting outfielder, which could impact that picture.
Meyers, who is arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter, is projected to garner a $2.2 million salary for next season, according to MLB Trade Rumors. McCormick, in his second year of arbitration, is projected to receive $3.3 million.
Houston’s eight arbitration-eligible players are projected to earn a combined $53.675 million in 2025 by MLB Trade Rumors. Teams and their arbitration-eligible players will have until Jan. 9 to agree on a salary for next season or exchange figures for a possible arbitration hearing.
Valdez and Tucker are both entering their final arbitration years and account for most of the Astros’ projected costs for that group. Valdez is projected to receive a $17.8 million salary for 2025 after earning $12.1 million this season while compiling a 15-7 record and 2.91 ERA and placing seventh in AL Cy Young voting.
Tucker is projected to receive a $15.8 million salary next season, up from $12 million this year. Tucker, who missed three months of the season to a shin fracture, compiled a 181 OPS-plus and 23 home runs when healthy and was named an All-Star for a third consecutive year.
With both Tucker and Valdez entering their final seasons of team control, Brown was asked at the GM meetings if the Astros intend to revisit extension talks with either player and said the team could “circle back” closer to spring training or during the season.
Peña, the Astros’ everyday shortstop, is projected to receive a $4.4 million salary for 2025 in his first trip through the arbitration process. Abreu and Garcia are arbitration-eligible for the second time. Abreu is projected to receive $3.7 million while Garcia, who missed the full 2024 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, is projected at $1.875 million.
Dubón, entering his third year of arbitration eligibility, is projected to receive a $4.6 million salary. Dubón took the Astros to an arbitration hearing last offseason and won, securing a $3.5 million salary after the Astros had countered at $3 million.
The Astros earlier this month parted with pitcher José Urquidy, who was outrighted off the 40-man roster and became a free agent, and reliever Penn Murfee, who was claimed off waivers by the White Sox. Both players were arbitration-eligible and projected to receive a combined $4.55 million next season.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — There is a lack of lighting in some areas of downtown West Palm Beach, which has some residents voicing safety concerns.
It's a story that WPTV learned about during one of our recent "Let's Hear It" events.
WPTV anchor Janny Rodriguez took a walk with two long-time residents who are seeking answers to get lights turned on.
Phyllis and Michael Rubinstein told us they enjoy walking almost everywhere they go.
"This is why we picked downtown to live," Phyllis Rubinstein said.
The couple have called downtown West Palm Beach their home for the past 16 years, but they have concerns.
"I just do not feel safe walking around downtown," Phyllis said.
They have to walk in the dark from Dixie Highway to Quadrille Boulevard to get to some of their favorite places.
Rodriguez walked with the couple down Lakeview Avenue to see the problem for ourselves.
Once we crossed the street and our photographer turned his camera light off, we could see the problem firsthand.
"There's lights over there that aren't on," Phyllis said. "I've complained about that. There's a light over here, that's not turned on."
She said she has voiced her concerns over this issue but to no avail.
"I've called so many times to different agencies to different people, and I've got nowhere," Phyllis said. "That's why I came to you because I've seen such wonderful things that your station has provided."
Rodriguez reached out to a city of West Palm Beach spokesperson about Phyllis' concerns.
In a text, the city told WPTV the following:
"According to the city public works director, there were never any lights installed on that street. FDOT is responsible for a lighting project on that street. The city is going to ask the developers to put up some temporary lighting"
"I’ve heard this before, and it hasn't happened," Phyllis said.
"We hope to get the problem fixed," Rodriguez replied.
"I hope you can," Phyllis said.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Many Florida residents have had trouble navigating through the rising cost of insurance premiums.
Now, it appears those high fees are taking a hit on home sales.
A study by real estate company Redfin found that five Florida metro areas had some of the fastest drops in sales over the last year — including West Palm Beach ranking at No. 3.
Redfin reported that West Palm Beach saw a 13.8% decline in pending sales from last year.
So, what is the cause?
Redfin said it's due to frequent natural disasters, a surge in home insurance costs and HOA fees fueled by what they say is intensifying climate risk.
"I'm not surprised by that because I feel it in the market," real estate agent Alex Fink with Team Fink Real Estate at Illustrated Properties said.
Fink said over the last year the market has shifted significantly, bringing a slower pace to home selling.
"What are the biggest hurdles you've seen for people that are trying to buy a house?" WPTV reporter Joel Lopez asked.
"It comes down to the cost, and it depends on the type of house," Fink said. "New constructions homes sell at a premium because insurance rates are going to be a little bit better because they're not going to have older structural problems that are going to come up."
Fink also cited condo assessments and increases in HOA fees due to insurance have also played a factor.
"Anything that needs work is sitting on the market dropping in price and you have a risk of higher insurance rates if it's an old home or closer to the water," Fink said.
According to Redfin's website, there are about 530 houses in West Palm Beach that have been on the market for more than six months.
"If you want to live here, this is the market. Can you afford it? If you can't, people do move," Fink said.
Florida homeowners have been burdened with a surge in fees, amidst a coverage collapse impacting people like longtime West Palm Beach resident Tim Allen.
"Property insurance, it's just ridiculous," Allen said. "The taxes, I have to shop a lot smarter. I have to do a lot of the BOGOs, and I cut back on a lot."
Allen, who is 70 years old, relies on Social Security and is on a fixed income.
"Would you say Florida is affordable right now?" Lopez asked.
"No, it's not affordable at all — unless you're wealthy," Allen said.
He said he has lived in the area for more than 40 years and has thought of moving.
"If it (fees) keeps going up, I'm going to have to," Allen said. "I came to West Palm Beach when it was a relatively small town and now it just looks like you're living in New York."
He said he's had a few friends move north to find a cheaper way of living.
Nationally, Redfin found home sales are up 4.7%.
The report said that Fort Lauderdale (-15.2%) and Miami (-14%) saw the biggest drops in home sales in the U.S.

While Rory McIlroy and Lexi Thompson took part in the year's first edition, The Match begins Thursday without any pro golfers. Instead, a field of eight celebrities from sports and entertainment will take part (no, this doesn't include Tiger Woods' son, Charlie Woods). NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley will compete, and he'll start as part of a team with baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. They'll face off against legendary actor Bill Murray and hockey Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky, a Palm Beach County resident.
Rounding out the field are Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, former NBA player Blake Griffin, actor Mark Wahlberg and comedian Nate Bargatze. The winner goes home from Breakers West Country Club on Friday night with $1 million.
