Here at Labor Bros, we've hauled away an incredible amount of junk since we opened our doors. Whether it's the hundreds of unsightly, heavy mattresses or old, unusable TVs, our crew has hauled some serious junk over the years. For each truckload of junk that we remove from a home or business, we work hard to donate applicable items and recycle others, to give back to the community and keep it clean.
When it comes to junk removal in Wellington, FL, here are some of the most common items we remove:
Even the best mattresses will need to be replaced with enough time. Over the years, your mattress will begin to break down, causing you more pain than pleasure when your head hits the pillow. When your quality of sleep is affected, so too is your day-to-day life and wellbeing. To make matters worse, your old mattress is a haven for dead skin cells, hair, and even bugs. When it gets to this point, it's time to get rid of your mattress. Unfortunately, that can be easier said than done, especially if you're working 40 hours a week and must balance a family too. Luckily, the Labor Bros can remove your old mattress quicker than it takes you to snooze on a Sunday afternoon.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Mattress parts like steel springs, wooden frames, and coils can often be donated or recycled. Our team is happy to handle this part of the junk removal process, so you don't have to!
If you plan on upgrading your kitchen, chances are you will need to update your old fridge too. Refrigerators are notorious for being big, clunky, hazardous appliances to remove. Most folks don't want to deal with the lengthy process of removing the appliance and disposing of it safely. That's where the Labor Bros come in! Whether you have a regular-sized fridge at your home or several large chest freezers at your business, the Labor Bros are here to haul them away today.
Labor Bros Pro Tip: Remember, many refrigerators and freezers have harmful chemicals that need to be disposed of properly. The Labor Bros always take these hazards into account, so you don't risk your health. Once these materials have been dealt with, our junk removal experts will either donate your unwanted fridge or haul it to the appropriate recycling facility.
With new technology and features debuting every other day, it's no surprise that we haul away old TVs every day. Whether you're moving to a new home or just want a new TV, we can remove your old flat screen quickly and safely. Our customers choose the Labor Bros for their TV removal not just because we're fast and effective, but because many modern TVs contain hazardous materials. Once our team removes your old TV from your home or business, we'll make sure your TV is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner.
In addition to our junk removal services, Labor Bros also offers the highest quality general labor services in South Carolina. In today's fast-paced world, many home and business owners don't have the time or staff to handle labor-intensive jobs like garage cleanouts and yard debris removal. There's no need to call in a favor with your best friend or father-in-law. Contact the Labor Bros for fast, efficient service for any of your general labor projects. We save you time, money, and the possibility of injuring yourself or your friends.
If you own a home, you probably know how frustrating it can be to keep up with odd jobs around the house. Sometimes, you need a little more than a helping hand - you need a team of experienced professionals to get the job done right. And that, in a nutshell, is why we founded Labor Bros - to give good people like you the chance to keep their homes looking great, inside and out. Here are just a few of the most common general labor jobs we complete for homeowners in South Carolina:
If you're anything like us, your garage space doubles as a storage unit. Over time, the items you store in your garage can pile up. When you want it done right, it's time to call the Labor Bros. Our team will not only remove the junk from your garage - we'll clean your garage afterward, so it looks and feels like it was brand new.
Cleaning up your yard debris can be a real pain in the butt. You need the right clothes to protect your legs and arms, gloves for your hands, possibly a back brace, and a lot of patience. After you're done, you're bound to need a shower and a long break. With all that in mind, it's no wonder why so many South Carolina residents call the Labor Bros for yard debris removal! Our general labor techs have cleaned up dozens if not hundreds of yards, and they can help you too. We make yard debris cleanup easy by taking everything: limbs, leaves, grass clippings, wood chips, and more. Simply click or call, and we'll haul it all!

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – On Thursday, Publix celebrated the opening of its latest remodeled grocery store in Wellington, and it’s offering a few interesting features for customers.
The new store - located at 13880 Wellington Trace at the Courtyard Shops at Wellington - spans over 58,000 square feet. It hosts similar departments to other locations, including a deli, pharmacy, bakery and wine department.

However, the Wellington location is also offering a “Pours Area,” according to a release by the company.
This means the Wellington store is joining a small handful of Publix locations that allow guests to drink as they shop.
“The Pours Area is a beverage area that features locally roasted coffee; wine, beer and kombucha on tap; acai bowls and smoothies that customers can enjoy while shopping in-store or relaxing in the venue,” the release reads.
In addition, a Publix spokeswoman told News 6 that the Wellington store features burrito, pizza and pasta bars for customers to enjoy.
Beyond that, the store is mirroring many other recently opened locations with an upstairs dining area, as well as a seating area outside and a Publix liquor store just next door.
“We are excited to open this much-anticipated store,” said Lindsey Willis, Publix media relations manager. “We look forward to welcoming our customers to their new Wellington Publix, introducing them to an array of new offerings and providing them with the service and quality products they know and love.”
Of course, Publix also has other Publix store locations set to open in other parts of the Sunshine State.
Next month, one of these stores is scheduled to open in Palm Bay at the Shoppes at Cypress Bay. Like the Wellington store, the upcoming Palm Bay location is set to feature an upstairs seating area.
But perhaps more exciting is the two-story Publix store set to reopen in Miami.
According to Willis, that store is located at the Briar Bay Shopping Plaza strip mall (13005 SW 89th Place), and it will span over 53,000 square feet once finished.
“There will also be a parking garage on the first floor, and the main store will be located on the second floor,” Willis explained. “This location will also have a liquor store on the ground level with the parking garage.”
According to the Miami Herald, the shopping plaza was bought by Publix in 2015 for over $16 million, though the store was shuttered as demolition on the mall began in 2022.
After construction finishes, though, the newly renovated Publix store (over 20,000 square feet larger than the previous one) will reportedly serve as the mall’s main anchor.
No opening date has been released for that location at this time.

Mark Bellissimo and a group of business partners have bought back the Wellington show grounds from Andreas Helgstrand's Global Equestrian Group.
After months of speculation and various investor names being rumoured (including Mark Rein and Frank McCourt) Wellintgon International has returned into the ownership and management of the former majority owners of Palm Beach International Equestrian Center with Mark Bellissimo at the helm. They sold the show to GEG in 2022.
Majority Partners Mark Bellissimo, Marsha Dammerman, Lisa Lourie, and Roger Smith formed a new entity called WI FL Acquisition, LLC to purchase Wellington International with Murray Kessler to serve as CEO. They signed a binding agreement to acquire Wellington International from Global Equestrian Group (GEG) on 22 October 2024.
This acquisition includes Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) Management Company, the organizers of the ESP Annual Series, the Winter Equestrian Festival, as well as the Showgrounds Live platform and the Chronicle of the Horse publications.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity to invest in the existing showgrounds, undergo a major expansion, and add new executive leadership to ensure Wellington remains the premier horse sport venue for show jumping, hunters, and dressage at all levels of competition,” stated Bellissimo of WI FL Acquisition, LLC. “We are committed to long-term ownership, ensuring the showgrounds thrive in Wellington for generations to come while welcoming new riders and new families to the sport.”
In the two-years that GEG owned and operated the show, seemingly very little major improvements were made to the venue, aside from footing updates. The dressage show grounds and stabling have remained the same for the past ten years.
“When we invested in Wellington International, we promised to take the venue to the next level, and I am happy to conclude that has been achieved. The sale is a testament to the fact that Wellington International is now ready for its next chapter,” says Andreas Helgstrand, CEO of Global Equestrian Group.
Hailed as the most positive aspect of the sale of WI is the appointment of incoming CEO Murray Kessler.
He is the former CEO of three Fortune 500 companies, former President of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), former President of the North American Riders Group, father of 2012 London Olympic show jumper Reed Kessler.
“I am excited to work with Wellington International President Michael Stone and his world class management team to capitalize on this remarkable growth opportunity,” stated Kessler. “We will immediately be seeking input from community leaders, governing bodies, exhibitors and partners as we develop and execute our plans that include significant investment for existing facility upgrades and the building of new world-class facilities on the expanded showgrounds.”
Michael Stone will remain president of Wellington International.

The venue attracts over 350,000 spectators annually. It’s also part of a residential development deal that would see the equestrian show grounds expand as well.

Mark Bellissimo, Marsha Dammerman, Lisa Lourie, and Roger Smith – who were previously in the ownership group of the property – formed WI FL Acquisition LLC to purchase the Wellington International from current owner Global Equestrian Group. Financial terms of the pending deal were not disclosed, but Bellissimo said the plan is to close within 30 days.
The potential new owner have taped Murray S. Kessler to be CEO of the Wellington International. He’s the former president of the U.S. Equestrian Federation, former president of the North American Riders Group, former CEO of Lorillard Tobacco Co., former CEO of U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. and former CEO of Perrigo. His daughter, Reed Kessler, was on the U.S. show jumping team at the London Olympics in 2012.
Michael Stone will remain president of the Wellington International.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity to invest in the existing showgrounds, undergo a major expansion, and add new executive leadership to ensure Wellington remains the premier horse sport venue for show jumping, hunters, and dressage at all levels of competition,” Bellissimo stated. “We are committed to long-term ownership, ensuring the showgrounds thrive in Wellington for generations to come while welcoming new riders and new families to the sport.”
Global Equestrian Group, led by CEO Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark and backed by Netherlands-based Waterland Private Equity, purchased the equestrian center in 2021 from a group that included Bellissimo, Smith, Lourie and Dammerman.
In 2023, the Village Council granted approval to a major residential development on equestrian-zoned land. The developer is Wellington Lifestyle Partners, which is backed by investors such as golf stars Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, and pop star Justin Timberlake, along with Joe Lewis of Tavistock Development and the Bellissimo family. That development deal included a land swap between the Wellington International and the developers, with the equestrian facility receiving a nearby site for its expansion while giving the developers the site of its equestrian dressage stadium several blocks away to build homes on.
Bellissimo, who is now on both sides of that transaction, said the land swap was completed in March.
“We will immediately be seeking input from community leaders, governing bodies, exhibitors and partners as we develop and execute our plans that include significant investment for existing facility upgrades and the building of new world-class facilities on the expanded showgrounds,” Kessler stated.
Meanwhile, Helgstrand has been divesting from Wellington recently, having sold an equestrian training facility in August.
It was recently reported by the publication Horse & Hound that Helgstrand was given a three-month suspension from the Danish equestrian organization for allegations of improper treatment of horses during training in a documentary by a Danish journalist. He was removed from the Danish national dressage team for the 2024 Olympics over the allegations in the documentary. Helgstrand has denied mistreating horses.
“When we invested in Wellington International, we promised to take the venue to the next level, and I am happy to conclude that has been achieved,” Helgstrand stated. “The sale is a testament to the fact that Wellington International is now ready for the next chapter.”

WELLINGTON, Florida, Oct. 22, 2024–The former majority owners of Palm Beach International Equestrian Center including Mark Bellissimo are buying back Wellington International. Murray S. Kessler, former U.S. federation president and successful businessman, will be chief executive officer and Michael Stone will remain as president.
There was no mention in a statement of Equestrian Village where the Global Dressage Festival has been staged for more than a decade but has received approval from the local government to be developed as a high-end housing and golfing community. Under the terms of approving changes to Equestrian Village Wellington International agreed to buy about 70 acres adjoining the current main show grounds to provide dressage facilities and a derby field similar to that at the existing Global facility. The property is controlled by a group headed up by Mark Bellissimo.
The complete 2025 winter-long Global circuit has already been announced to be held at the existing Equestrian Village show grounds that were created by Mark Bellissimo’s group in 2021 and hosts seven international dressage events including the only top rated CDI5* and a Nations Cup outside Europe.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity to invest in the existing showgrounds, undergo a major expansion, and add new executive leadership to ensure Wellington remains the premier horse sport venue for show jumping, hunters, and dressage at all levels of competition,” said Mark Bellissimo of the acquiring group named WI FL Acquisition, LLC.
Others in the group include as partners Marsha Dammerman, Lisa Lourie, and Roger Smith. Marsha Dammerman’s husband and Roger Smith were founding investors in the Wellington Equestrian Partnership that took over the show grounds in 2007.
“We are committed to long-term ownership, ensuring the showgrounds thrive in Wellington for generations to come while welcoming new riders and new families to the sport,” Mark said.
Murray Kessler, former CEO of three Fortune 500 companies as well as former president of the USEF, said: “I am excited to work with Wellington International President Michael Stone and his world class management team to capitalize on this remarkable growth opportunity.
“We will immediately be seeking input from community leaders, governing bodies, exhibitors and partners as we develop and execute our plans that include significant investment for existing facility upgrades and the building of new world-class facilities on the expanded showgrounds.”
Andreas Helgstrand, CEO of Global Equestrian Group that bought the show grounds in mid-2021, said: “When we invested in Wellington International, we promised to take the venue to the next level, and I am happy to conclude that has been achieved. The sale is a testament to the fact that Wellington International is now ready for its next chapter.”
Wellington International is the largest and longest-running equestrian competition series in the world, hosting 42 weeks of competition annually of show jumping, hunters, dressage and para-dressage. More than 350,000 spectators, 15,000 horses and 7,500 competitors participate each season. Wellington International stages the Winter Equestrian Festival and an array of competitions, divisions, and participants in the sport, and contributes an estimated $400+ million in economic impact to Palm Beach County.
Wellington International President Michael Stone said: “I look forward to working with Murray and the Partners who know the business and the community so well to make Wellington International’s showgrounds the standard to which all grounds are measured.”
The Winter Equestrian Festival was established in Wellington in 1974 and covers 111 acres/45Ha. It includes 18 competition arenas and 500 permanent horse stalls.
